Vehicle Description 1936 Chevy Sedan Master Deluxe, Hot Rod.
This car was built in the Terrytown, NY plant and sold new in RI and after several years in private hands, it was sold to the Exeter, RI Fire Department for their Chief's car.
It is believed that the car was originally Cabana Cream and then painted red for obvious reasons.
It was sold back into the private sector in the 70's to the third owner, who painted the car yellow again and then the car sat Until 2006 when the current owner purchased the car to restore.
He and his dad tore into it immediately and went through the entire car.
They purchased new steel where necessary and went through the car front to rear.
The running boards are a bit custom and are all metal.
They also bought a 92 Buick Roadmaster for the drive-line and rear suspension.
The seats are from a 2000 Saab and are leather and in rather good condition.
The rear seat flips up for storage underneath it and so items in the trunk can come forward into the passenger compartment if needed.
The front suspension is a Hiedt's Mustang II set up.
The engine from the Roadmaster was originally used but after a trip down to Key West, and turning over 100K on that engine, they went with a Chevy 350/330 TBI crate engine, now running a Fast Fuel Injection set up.
The car, as it sits, has roughly 35,000 miles on the body/running gear and less than 10K on the engine.
It puts that power out through a 7004R auto trans held in place in a custom mount along with a drive shaft hoop.
She runs true dual exhaust all the way back.
(just as we started the photo-shoot, the driver exhaust pipe dropped off it's hanger, it will be welded back in place before the sale) The brakes are power and Disc F/Drums R, that is all that is power on the car.
Steering is manual, windows, etc.
There is heat but no AC.
Everything works as it should.
She starts right up and runs and drives strong.
There is no rust on her although there are a couple of small areas in the paint where the 15 year old restoration is showing through.
Despite being built to drive and totally enjoy, she still looks awesome and can hold her own at local shows and cruise nights.
The paint is Dark Quartz Grey Metallic with just a touch of pearl purple in the clear coat.
The ghost flames are a lighter version of the same color.
There are a couple small details that someone might want to tackle such as the carpets.
They are in good shape but not the quality he originally wanted to use.
It could use a deep cleaning inside, but still presents very well.
Overall, totally ready to get in and enjoy.
.
it doesn't NEED anything to be able to do that.
All the receipts and the full photo album of the restoration is included along with the bill of sale when the FD bought the car.
Turn key and ready to be driven from Canada to FL and all points in between.
(It already has been too).
Asking price on this wonderful cruising sedan is $29,500.
Any questions, for many more photos and video, to schedule a time to see her in person, or to make an offer, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks for the interest.
